What programs does Youth Zone provide?

Youth Zone provides school-aged childcare. School age is considered Kindergarten to age 12 years old. This includes the Before and After School Program, Full Day Childcare, and the Summer Program.

How do I enroll my child for the Summer Program?

Please email our Program Director at riyouthzone@gmail.com and specify Summer Program to see if your child is eligible for the program. If eligible, you will be asked to fill out an application that is submitted to the Director.

How do I enroll my child for the Before and After School Program?

Please email our Program Director at riyouthzone@gmail.com and specify Before and After School Program to see if your child is eligible for the program. If eligible, you will be asked to fill out an application that is submitted to the Director.

What schools does Youth Zone serve?

If I don’t live in Pawtucket, can my child attend any Youth Zone program?

At this time, the Youth Zone Before and After School Program is for Pawtucket Residents only.

Does Youth Zone offer tuition assistance?

We currently offer tuition assistance to eligible families thanks to the City of Pawtucket's ARPA Grant.

How do I know if my family is eligible for the scholarship?

Must be enrolled at a select Pawtucket Elementary school.
Combined Household Income must be at or below 300% of the federal poverty level (FPL)
Documentation: Families may need to provide documentation of income, such as tax returns or pay stubs

Does Youth Zone accept the Child Care Assistant Program (CCAP)?

At this time, we do not accept CCAP, but are working hard to be able to accept it in the future.

Does Youth Zone offer transportation?

During the school year Youth Zone will offer transportation to and from school. Parents will have to drop off students to Youth Zone and pick up before program closing.

What days and times are you open?

Youth Zone is opened M-F

Summer Program: 8:00am-5:00pm

Before School Program: 7:30-start of school

After School- pick up until 5:30pm

Would Youth Zone be opened during adverse weather conditions?

During severe weather Youth Zone will be closed. That decision will be made by the Youth Zone Executive Director. All families will be notified accordingly.

What does Youth Zone service?

Youth Zone services youth in Kindergarten until 12 years old.

Is Youth Zone licensed by the State of Rhode Island?

Youth Zone is in the process of being fully licensed by the State of Rhode Island.
